Taste (品) , Incubated at Lita
Taste is a product idea I’ve been working on—now being incubated at Lita Studios.
Our personal "taste" is scattered across different platforms. For me, fragments of my preferences live everywhere digitally: Spotify playlists, clothing wishlists, curated Pinterest boards, and even my Goodreads ratings.
While each platform does a great job recommending content based on its own algorithms, I’ve always wondered what if recommendations could be truly cross-platform? Imagine getting book suggestions that don’t just rely on your Goodreads history but also consider your taste in movies, fashion, and music.
So the core question became: What if everyone had an AI agent—or a single account—that truly understood their taste?
Solution: Taste
The initial POC for Taste is an app that delivers AI-powered recommendations by aggregating taste data from various off-chain platforms—verified using Valida, a zkVM developed by Lita. By leveraging zkTLS, the app securely pulls and verifies non-composable data from different sources.

Beyond Recommendations
There’s an increasing demand in crypto to target users based on offchain activity—rather than just onchain behavior (like farming, which is often mercenary and prone to Sybil attacks).
zkTLS makes this possible.
I envision crypto projects leveraging aggregated data from Taste users, unlocking new use cases like token airdrops to selective users and gated access to communities based on their offchain activities.
The Taste app will also be designed such that off-chain data updates regularly, as opposed to in a one-off manner. This will enable interesting mechanisms and scale smart contract functionalities—for example, airdrop emissions could dynamically adjust based on a function of Web2 activities over a certain vesting period.

I hope this could significantly improve user onboarding and enable hyper-targeted user acquisition for crypto projects.
